Who We Are
Community Harte Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in July, 2026 to provide community-oriented events.
We support our community of Twain Harte by attracting tourism and bringing our residents and visitors together in fun and engaging ways that really speak to our life here. Our home, our Harte!
All donations or monies brought in from our events go towards town “attraction” projects. Our first goal that we are working towards is making Twain Harte a “destination” for Christmas visitors. This will involve “main street” decorations and collaboration with other Twain Harte organizations for timing and infrastructure. We wish to build-off current much-loved events during this important “shoulder season” to help bring extra joy and to keep our community healthy and vibrant!
Everyone governs our non-profit through a spirit of compassionate collaboration where decisions and tasks are spread across the group. We are completely transparent in all organizational functioning. As a group we are open to suggestions, whether its about an event or about the organization. Please look at our Documents section below for more information on how we make this work for us as a group and for the community of Twain Harte at large.

So: Where do any earnings or donations go? After expenses (no salary) any earnings and your contributions go into our general account. This money will be used for future community events and community projects we will focus on. An example could be bringing back town holiday decorations to help our community become a real Christmas destination, bringing money into our community.
